PlayStation fans may be disappointed to hear that the PS4 Share Play feature will have restrictions on how long they can play games.

Share Play was introduced at Gamescom as a "virtual couch" that will let users share games for the PS4 console with friends over the Internet, and has been given a 60-minute limit for each session, according to TechRadar. PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to remotely play video games from a friend's PS4.

Despite the time limit, players aren't limited to the amount of times they can use Share Play. Once a session ends, players can simply start a new one.

Users will be able to share both single player and multiplayer games, including local multiplayer, even if the user's friend doesn't own the game, The Escapist reported. Shuhei Yoshida, head of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, described Share Play as a "mini PlayStation Now," a video game streaming service that lets gamers access older PlayStation games on newer consoles.

"How it works is, for example, a friend has a game that I don't," Yoshida said. "I ask them to let me play it, and if they send me an invitation, I can access their PS4 and play while watching the video that is streamed."

Share Play is set to be available this fall, along with a software update to the Version 2 system. The update will also let gamers upload saved videos to YouTube, as well as look for PSN users by name.
