A California woman told police she loves giraffes after climbing into a giraffe exhibit at a Wisconsin zoo Saturday, according to the Associated Press.

The police report said Amanda Hall, 24, of San Luis Obispo, California, "climbed over one fence and was partially through a second fence that surrounds the giraffe exhibit" at the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison around 5:30 p.m., according to Daily Mail UK.

But it appeared Hall's feelings toward giraffes weren't mutual. The giraffe she came in contact with, Wally, a 2-year-old, 12-foot-tall giraffe, licked Hall before turning and kicking her in the face, AP reports.

However, Hall seems to be lucky since "zoo staff [said] giraffes are capable of killing lions and that Hall was lucky not to have been more seriously injured," the report said according to Daily Mail UK.

Hall was fined for harassment of zoo animals and is ordered to pay $686, according to AP.
