Talk about a he-said-she-said battle between exes Rita Ora and Calvin Harris.

The 30-year-old DJ is fighting back against Ora, who claimed he prevented her from performing their single "I Will Never Let You Down" at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday. Harris took to his Twitter account Wednesday to denounce Ora's story.

"You'll only know 1 side of the story RE Teen choice awards because I choose not to talk to the papers about every aspect of my personal life," Harris tweeted. "But just know I had a damn good reason."

During her appearance on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" Tuesday, the 23-year-old songstress said she was scheduled to sing her latest single at the awards show, but her performance was axed at the last minute because Harris, who owned the creative rights to the song, refused to let her perform it.

"For anybody who doesn't understand how it works, he wrote and produced the song," the singer explained. "So he has to approve anything TV-wise for anybody who doesn't get it. And obviously he owns the rights to it and he didn't approve the Teen Choice Awards."

Ora told Seacrest that she had been planning for her performance for "about a month" and was told last minute that she was unable to perform her single..

"I could have got told a few weeks earlier, you know," she said. "That would have been nice. It was a last-minute change, but you know what, it happens and we move on and move forward. You know, you write a song with somebody, and I guess there's some stuff that comes with it ... Everything happens for a reason, that's how I look at it."

In June, Harris tweeted about his split from Ora, writing, "To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best."

Us Weekly confirmed that Ora is now dating Tommy Hilfiger's son Richard Hilfiger.
