Fans may have been thrilled to see her, but various reports say Kate Upton is furious with Victoria's Secret for using old photos in their new catalog.

The New York Post reported the back cover photo of the catalog is actually from Upton's 2011 Victoria's Secret shoot. The company confirmed to the Huffington Post that the photos are from a previous shoot.

Reportedly, the lingerie brand did not contact the voluptuous 20-year-old Upton to notify her that they'd be using her photos.

The company has not had the best relationship with Upton. Last year, Victoria's Secret casting director, Sophia Neophitou spoke negatively about bombshell Upton's image.

"She is too obvious. She's like a Page 3 girl," Neophitou told the New York Times. "She's like a footballer's wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy. We would never use [Kate]."

Upton had already modeled for Victoria's Secret in catalogs when Neophitou spoke out to the media. Upton never was an official Angel, but reportedly did model pajamas for the catalog when she was in her teens.

Amy O'Dell, BuzzFeed's reporter who broke the Upton story, explained in her article that "a model's presence in the catalog does not automatically qualify her for the runway show."

"Casting for the catalog and fashion show are seen as two very different things to the fashion community," O'Dell wrote. "There's a lot of cross-over but it's not a fully symbiotic relationship."

The negativity has not slowed down Upton's career. Her popularity has significantly risen due to her success from her Sports Illustrated covers and Vogue shoots. She has appeared on three Vogue covers, posed in photo shoots for V Magazine, Terry Richardson and Harper's Bazaar and fronted the inaugural issue of CR Fashion Book.
