This Charlotte mother might just be the worst mom ever.

A 16-year-old teen, participating in a fire challenge on Facebook that encourages people to set themselves on fire and post a video of it , set himself on fire in his mother's presence.

He covered himself with nail polish before setting himself ablaze. Others who have participated in the challenge used flammable substances on their bodies such as rubbing alcohol, according to She Knows.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Youth Crimes Detectives and Social Services found that the teen's mother, Janie Lachelle Talley, recorded her son for the challenge, reports WF My News 2.

Others, not including Talley, put out the fire that gave the teen minor burns on his chest and neck.

The Youth Crimes Unit was alerted of the Facebook video last month, which initiated the investigation.

Facebook has taken down all fire challenge videos since the incident.

Talley was charged with contribution to juvenile delinquency.
