Zac Efron is donating his first car in the name of charity.

The actor posted a picture on his Instagram page letting fans know that he will be giving away his first car as part of a Make A Wish Foundation fundraiser, according to The New York Daily NewsHe launched the contest on Prizeo.com Monday for the charity, which aims to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening diseases.

In the photo, the 26-year-old actor stands in front of the silver 1999 Oldsmobile Alero holding up a sign that read, "Want my first car? It's yours!"

He captioned the picture with more details about the contest, writing, "How would you like to hang out with me in LA? I'll give you and a friend flights from anywhere in the world, hotel accommodations, and, if you want it, my first car ever, too! Join me in supporting Make-A-Wish America and Make-A-Wish International."

The "Bad Neighbors" star also explained in a video posted on the Prizeo.com site the meaning behind his car, which was reportedly given to him by his grandfather.

"I really want to do something special for the Make a Wish foundation, so I teamed up with Prizeo.com to give you a shot to win a few special prizes," Efron said in a new video posted online.

He added: "For just a $10 donation to the Make a Wish foundation, you'll be entered to win a chance to fly to Los Angeles and take home my first car. This is the car I learned everything in. How to drive in, got my first driver's license in, got in my first car accident in, which was not my fault for the record."
