A 6-year-old girl reported missing Saturday was found dead in Washington, officials said Thursday.

After a four-day search federal authorities found the remains of Jenise Paulette Wright near a Bremerton, Wash., mobile home park at around 11:30 a.m. The sheriff's department said that a coroner will officially confirm the identity of the body, but "it appears that the body is that of Jenise."

Kitsap County officials said that they had not made any arrests in the case and were yet to zero in on to a suspect. Although they stated they were not "not ruling out anything."

"This is definitely a criminal case. There's no question about that," said Kitsap County Sheriff's Deputy Scott Wilson at an evening press conference, reports the New York Daily News."We don't suspect that she went off by herself, walked into some bushes and died."

The autopsy on the deceased child is scheduled for Friday. According to Wright's parents ,they last saw her when they put her to bed Saturday night. They stated that they did not worry when they found that she was not in her bed the next morning as she was in the habit of going around their Steele Creek Mobile Home Park .

"It's tragic circumstances that bring us here," said Frank Montoya, Jr., special agent in charge of the FBI's Seattle division, reports Fox News.

Police have started going through registered sex offenders residing in the area and are also checking the surveillance videos. According to the investigators, 10 years ago Wright's father, James, was charged with molesting two young girls. James had then pled guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge. However, he was cleared off the molestation charges.

Authorities, however, said that they do not think James was connected to the case.
