Ladies and gentlemen, there's something to scream about.

"Scream," the modern classic meta-horror franchise that will be making its tv series debut on MTV, now has a cast and crew, according to Entertainment Weekly.

MTV and Dimension TV announced today that the televised series of the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" hit is moving forward and will star Willa Fitzgerald from "Alpha House," Amy Forsyth from "Reign," John Karna from "The Neighbors," Carlson Young from "Key and Peele" and Amadeus Serafini, Entertainment Weekly states. James Travis from "Faking It" will direct the pilot.

Bob Weinstein, co-chairman of The Weinstein Company and Dimension Films, told Entertainment Weekly, "Scream has been one of our largest and most treasured franchises at Dimension, and we are thrilled to embark on the next chapter and join forces with a network that we love."

MTV first announced Scream's pilot order in May of 213. Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin from "Criminal Minds" wrote the pilot script, while Jill Blotevogel is the showrunner, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The official character descriptions, according to Entertainment Weekly, are as follows:

Emma Duval played by Willa Fitzgeral: A classic beauty whose looks and popularity hide a natural shyness and intellectual nature. Her new life with the "in crowd" leaves her estranged from childhood best friend Audrey.

Audrey Jensen played by Amy Forsyth: The daughter of a Lutheran pastor, Audrey is an artsy loner who aspires to be a filmmaker.

Noah Foster played by John Karna: Creative computer genius with a vast knowledge of pop culture and the tech world. Best friends with Audrey.

Brooke Maddox played by Carlson Young: Charismatic leader of the popular crew whose personality vacillates between bubbly sweetness and ferocious sex appeal.

Kieran Wilcox played by Amadeus Serafini: The mysterious new kid in town, Kieran's got a dark side and a tough exterior that hints at experience beyond his years.
