Samsung Electronics has chosen Korea as the first spot to make the world's first bendable TV available on Friday, August 1st.

All the user has to do is press a button, and the TV can shift its shape from flat to curved, according to the Daily Mail. The acute angle of the curve on the 78-inch display can be controlled depending on the amount of people sitting around it.

The TV screen has become a member of the recent generation of big UHD, or 4K, TV sets. The images on the screen have a clarity that is four times sharper than current high definition TVs, and are pushed out by two motors on both sides of the screen to set the curve.

"The combination of our curved design and UHD picture quality creates the ultimate immersive entertainment experience for people passionate about entertainment," said Guy Kinnell, head of TV for Samsung.

The bendable TV initially debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show in January in Las Vegas with an 85-inch screen, CNET reported.

Samsung and other technology companies have been working on more innovative products due to the slowing down of flat-screen TV sales in recent years. LG Electronics, a rival company, has chosen a different route: cutting costs in its TV business to increase revenue, which worked for the company in the most recent quarter.

Preorders for Samsung's bendable TV start Friday, but the TV will only be displayed in two stores in Seoul, South Korea, CNET reported. The company has not announced any prices or other countries where it will be available. However, reports have claimed that the TV will cost close to $34,000.

Samsung's 65-inch UNHU9000 curved TV is currently available in the U.S. for about $4,500, and the company has priced its 105-inch UN105S9W at $120,000.
