Fans of the History Channel drama "Vikings" can now get a glimpse of what's in store for Season 3. Following its premiere at San Diego Comic-Con last week, the History Channel released the trailer online so everybody could watch it.

The trailer is dark and creepy and is narrated by The Seer (John Kavanagh). We already know the third season is going to be good! Creator Michael Hirst also dished briefly about next season and hinted that the storyline could easily carry over into a fourth season.

"Well, we're of course going back to Wessex, because we really like King Ecbert and Princess Kwentrith, she creates mayhem, which is fantastic," he said, via ScreenRant.com. "Ragnar and Ecbert are kind of equals, they can talk to each other and understand one another. When we go to Paris, we meet the French Emperor, whose the grandson of the great Charlemagne and his daughter. They're both very important, because this is a story-line that isn't going to go away. It's a story that will go right through season 3 and then straight into season 4. It will have a huge impact on several of our leading characters."

Recently there was some casting announcements made for the new season. According to Deadline, Kevin Durand has landed a role on the hit show as "The Wanderer," a mysterious little character "who is not what he seems."

Lothaire Bluteau will play Emperor Charles of France, "who views the Vikings as spiritual and earthy" and Morgane Polanski was cast as Princess Gisla, Charles' daughter. Ben Robson is also expected to make an appearance as Lagertha's trusted second in command, Kalf.

Cast of the "Vikings" also includes George Blagdenn as Athelstan, Jessalynn Gilsig as Siggy, Alyssa Sutherland as Princess Aslaug, Katheryn Winnick as Lagertha, Alexander Ludwig as an elder Bjorn, and Linus Roache as King Ecbert of Wessex.

"Vikings" follows adventures of warrior and explorer Ragnar Lodbrok (Travis Fimmel), Rollo (Clive Standen), and Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard).
