A suspect accused of raping a teenage girl at a Keith Urban concert- while onlookers recorded it- has pleaded innocent to the charges against him.

Sean Murphy, 18, allegedly raped the 17-year-old girl during the concert at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts on July 26, MyFoxBoston.com reported. About 15 people gathered around Murphy and the girl to record and take pictures of the incident, according to a police report obtained by the station.

Murphy was arrested when the girl told one of the onlookers the sex was not consensual.

The suspect, who admitted to drinking liquor and beer, said the sex was consensual. He plead innocent and as of Wednesday is expected to post $10,000 bail.

"There are no allegations of force or violence against him," Murphy's lawyer told the station supporting client. "This was a private act that regrettably occurred in a public place."

The incident allegedly began when Murphy and the girl were drinking and started to kiss. He then led her away from her friends to the rear of the outdoor concert center, which is known as the lawn, the station reported. When he led her away the girl didn't say "no" because she was afraid, police said.

Onlookers said they did not realize what has going on when they saw two people having sex on the lawn.

"My friend told me to look over there and there was a couple on the ground having intercourse," one witness told MyFoxBoston on condition of anonymity. "So we looked at it, and we took pictures and we thought it was consensual."

Murphy left the 17-year-old alone on the lawn, naked from the waist down, according to witnesses. A woman asked the teenager if she wanted to have sex with the man. She answered no.

Over 18,000 people attended the county music singer's concert, which ended with dozens of people being arrested for drunkenness, according to the station. Another 46 people received medical treatment for alcohol-related issues.

Murphy is due in court again on Sept. 25.
