Tim McGraw could be slapped with a lawsuit after hitting a female concertgoer during his show at Aaron's Amphitheater at Lakewood, Atlanta on July 13.

The Daily Mail reported the alleged victim, Jesslyn Taylor, hired Georgia personal injury lawyer Eric Hertz to defend her against the singer. Hertz has reportedly contacted McGraw's camp to obtain a settlement before proceeding with a lawsuit.

Earlier this month, two videos from the Atlanta show showed the country singer slapping a female fan after she reportedly latched onto his pants and tried to pull him towards her.

She was accused of trying to grab the singer's crotch and being so aggressive to the point of trying to rip McGraw's jeans off. Taylor was escorted out of the show by security guards. The 47-year-old country singer was reportedly singing "Truck Yeah" during the incident.

"Sometimes things can lose context and perspective. I reacted in an instinctive, defensive way from my perspective of what was going on," McGraw explained to Entertainment Tonight Canada. "I think it was an unfortunate situation I think all the way around. But it happened, it happened in a split second, it was pure instinctive reaction, I think you just got to move on."

The Grammy winner continued: "It is one of those things that happen, nobody feels good about it, but there's nothing that could be done about it. You are in that position, you are out there, you are vulnerable, things happen and sometimes you react. There's nothing to be said about it."

Taylor said she wants an apology from the "Highway Don't Care" singer and is claiming that she was not trying to touch the singer's crotch but simply wanted to touch him, when he smacked her. Her attorney told TMZ that Taylor was just an enthusiastic fan who tried to be a part of the show's "interactive environment"

Taylor reportedly felt humiliated, however a representative for the singer said McGraw acted out of self-defense. At the time, the Atlanta Police Department named Taylor as the aggressor.
