Warner Bros. stole the show at San Diego Comic-Con 2014 with the surprise appearance of the “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” cast, but the production remains shrouded in mystery.

Director Zack Snyder introduced cast members Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck as they walked onto the Comic-Con stage. The trio posed for photographers and Snyder quickly excused the actors from the stage.

Snyder has been vocal about his loathing towards movie spoilers, and is doing everything he can to run a leak-proof production. Actors associated with the production are also sharing minimal details about the production.

Before the big “Batman vs. Superman” panel appearance, “Argo” actor Scoot McNairy spoke to Issue magazine about joining the production.

“It’s been great,” McNairy said. “I’m still in the middle of it actually. Zack Snyder is awesome. He was one of the director’s on my list. Working with him has been great. It’s not too different working on a studio movie, except there’s more people and more money and more time. In regards to the process that I go through as an actor, it’s exactly the same.

“Snyder has so much energy,” he added. “I’ve never seen someone with such energy before. He’s shooting and writing and editing and then goes to the gym twice a day. He’s incredibly energetic and I don’t know how he does it. It’s contagious. I was going to the gym every day as well.”

DC Entertainment co-publisher Jim Lee also spoke about the production before Comi-Con. The comic creator told Variety he isn’t concerned about Snyder’s vision for the DC crossover film.

“Zack is a comicbook fan and draws inspiration from the comics,” Lee said. “He doesn’t need to be given advice. He’s a talented filmmaker. He’s a super stylized visualist. He’ll do stuff no one has ever done with the caped crusader and blow everyone away. He knows how to take the sensibility of comicbooks and do what other filmmakers don’t know how to do”

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be released to theaters on May 6, 2016.
