Body parts of a New York City woman who went missing in early July have been found in several locations across Long Island, police said Thursday according to Newsday.

Police in Suffolk County, Long Island, confirmed the dismembered body parts belong to Brooklyn resident Chinelle Latoya Thompson Browne, a mother of four who was reported missing after having an argument with a woman who lives in her building.

The woman, 42-year-old Leah Cuevas, was arrested Wednesday and charged with second-degree murder for killing Thompson. She was held that night at Suffolk County's Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned in a Central Islip court on Thursday, Newsday reported.

Police did not reveal the nature of Cuevas and Browne's relationship.

Browne, a 27-year-old immigrant from Guyana, disappeared July 5 from her apartment on Sumpter Street in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Her body, except for the head and both arms, was found July 8 in an empty area in Bay Shore that serves as a shortcut between a parking lot and the ferry terminal for Fire Island, the newspaper reported.

Browne's arm was found the next day on the front lawn of a house in Hempstead. On July 10, her other arm was found in a yard less than a mile from where the first arm was located.

Browne's head was found July 17 on the property of another Hempstead home, according to Newsday.

Neighbors who knew the Browne, whose husband and four kids are in Guyana, said she was reserved. They last saw her storm out of the building and get into a livery cab after fighting with her landlord, CBS New York reported.

"The lady came out outside screaming at her," Michael Talbot, a resident in the building, told the station. "She came outside, her hair was in a mess. She put it in a ponytail, walked down the block, got in a cab and no one saw her again."
