As news of Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed dating make the rounds, Nina Dobrev has taken to her Instagram account to share cryptic posts
Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed may be the newest couple in tinsel town but they've still got a long way to go before becoming the favorites. An earlier report suggested that Somerhalder's ex- girlfriend Nina Dobrev wasn't aware of his budding romance with Reed. Following this news, Dobrev recently took to her Instragram account to share quite a few cryptic texts that were a clear indication of how devastated she was with the news.
"I give / You take, / I break / You fake / PITY, / I bleed / You dive in deep / Into my blood / As thick as syrup. / Tell me are you / A mosquito?" read one such post.
This was followed by a couple of other posts.
"Beauty is the opposite of perfection. It's about confidence, charisma and character," one message read. Another read, "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."
Somerhalder and Reed first sparked romance rumors this past weekend when they were caught kissing and getting cozy in Los Angeles. Now, a source has confirmed to E! News they are dating and "love spending time together."
The "Vampire Diaries" actor recently shared one of the "Twilight" actress' earlier Instagram posts which requested people to adopt a dog.
"Some one please give Kate a GREAT HOME!!!! PLEASE!" Somerhalder tweeted along with a link to Reed's profile.
Reports have it that apart from being friends, Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev used to double date with Reed and her former husband Paul McDonald in the past, and now, Dobrev and McDonald are not happy with their friends dating their exes.
McDonald is said to be "devastated," as he had every intention of rekindling his romance with Reed, a source told HollywoodLife.
"Paul is still totally heartbroken over the breakup. He loves her and always will. They still work together and are in contact. He tries not to ask too much about anything, but he's hurt. He had every intention of being with her forever," the source said.
It is believed that Dobrev too found out about the relationship when she saw pictures of Somerhalder with Reed on the Internet.
"They are definitely keeping others feelings close as they work on their decisions to start an exclusive relationship together," another source told HollywoodLife. "They don't want to upset anyone. It is beyond baby steps right now between the two and Nina hasn't been told anything. But Nina isn't stupid either, she reads the gossip like the rest of us so she will know soon enough."
Dobrev and Somerhalder were in a relationship for more than three years before breaking it off. The single actress has been linked to other actors including Liam Hemsworth, but sources deny that she was dating the 'Hunger Games' actor.
