Cameron Diaz cut an interview short on KIIS 106.5's Kyle & Jackie O show, after one of the Australian radio program's hosts, Kyle Sandilands, made a snarky comment about her best friend Drew Barrymore's troubled teen years.

Diaz took offence when host Jackie O mentioned that the actress' daughter in the movie "Sex Tape", Giselle Eisenberg, reminded her "a little bit" of Barrymore's character in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.

"Aw, yeah!" Diaz said, according to Huffington Post. "She does, now that you mention it. And she's as bright and lively as Drew is, as well. She's a sweet little girl."

"Let's hope she misses out on the Drew Barrymore drug years, because those were a great thing to watch, but not so good to be in, I'd imagine," Sandilands responded.

"I'm sure, Kyle, you've never been through a drug phase, have you? Or alcoholism or anything like that? Pretty clean; always did it right? Congratulations," Diaz bit back.

But the Australian disc jockey didn't stop there. Sandilands went on to press the 41-year-old actress, who's known for keeping her private life private, about her romantic relationship with rocker Benji Madden.

That seemed to have finally gotten to Diaz, who immediately responded by saying she had to leave, compelling the show hosts to wrap up the interview.

"Well, that started very well and ended poorly, I think. Good one, Kyle. You ruined that interview. Sorry to be blunt. You brought up Drew Barrymore, her best friend's drug addiction in the past ...She's her best friend. And then you brought up Benji. We all know how protective Cameron is about her private life," Jackie O said after the actress went off air.

Diaz and Barrymore have been bum-chums for a long time now. Recently, the two made headlines when it was rumored that they had been in a physical relationship in the past. Of course, Diaz rubbished the rumors in an interview with Harper's Bazaar recently.
