Badass Digest reports the new franchise stars will be newcomers Daisy Ridley and John Boyega. Their story allegedly begins when the heroes find a severed hand holding a light saber. The two recognize the now Jedi relic and go on the search for its rightful owner.

“Their quest takes them off world, and they meet up with Han Solo and Chewbacca, who aren't flying around in the Millenium Falcon anymore but are piloting... well, that could be a spoiler,” Badass Digest Reports. “Anyway, Han and Chewie recognize the light saber as Luke's, and they say they haven't seen their friend in thirty years, since the events of Return of the Jedi.

“So begins a quest to find the missing Jedi Master. Meanwhile, on an ice planet, nefarious forces are building a super weapon, one capable of destroying not planets but entire solar systems.”

Badass Digest’s purposefully vague spoilers are to keep from completely ruining the story for “Star Wars” fans. Unfortunately, the potential spoilers didn’t reveal any characters names, but an alleged connection between Ridley and Boyega was reported back in June.

Making Star Wars reported Boyega’s character was codenamed “Thomas” while Ridley’s was named “Rachel.” The “Star Wars” news site claimed Rachel and Thomas are the lead characters and have budding romance throughout the film.

“We have heard that Thomas starts the film on the side of the villains,” according to Making Star Wars. “Thomas is shot down over Tatooine and he is injured from the crash. The things we heard from Abu Dhabi about a crashed ship is rumored to have been Thomas’ fighter.

“Rachel rescues him from the wreckage and the elements of the sandy planet. Over the course of their 'unlikely pairing,' Thomas sees the reality of the universe and he defects from the side of the villains and decides to help Rachel for saving his life.”

“Star Wars Episode 7” will be released to theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
