In a bizarre twist to the Casey Kasem family battle, it's being reported that the late radio DJ's body and his wife, Jean Kasem, have gone missing. Casey's daughter, Kerri Kasem, told TMZ that she believes Jean took the body from a Washington state funeral home and high-tailed it out of the country.

Sources told the site that the body reportedly went missing right before a judge ordered an autopsy. Jean is being accused of elderly abuse and the autopsy is crucial to prove the claims. According to TMZ, Jean reportedly took a very-ill Casey on a multi-state week-long car ride which caused him to develop bed sores. The sores then got infected and is said to have contributed to Casey's death.

He died last month in a Washington area hospital. Jean and Casey's children, from his first marriage, have been at odds for years. Before the radio legend died, Jean and her step-children were bickering over how to handle Casey's last few days alive.

Since the death, they have been arguing over what to do with the body. TMZ reports that no one knows where Casey's body was moved to, and no one can locate Jean. The site also reported that the widow listed her home address was in Jerusalem on the death certificate.

Kerri told TMZ that there is a strong possibility Jean took Casey's body and left the country. Just a few days ago reports surfaced that the body was still being kept a morgue even though it's been a month since the "American Top 40" host's death.

Danny Deraney, a spokesman for Kerri, previously told USA Today that the children wanted the body buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, Calif. but Jean holds the rights to the body and had not made a final decision on what to do.

A spokesman at St. Anthony Hospital said Jean picked up the remains after the DJ died, but they did not know what burial arrangements she had made. It was rumored that the delay in burial was due to an ongoing family feud between the kids and the step-mother.

Jean accused of the adult children of trying to get their hands on Casey's life insurance policy, while Kerri accused Jean of trying to delay burial to deflect from the elderly abuse investigation.
