A new photo of Samsung's rumored Galaxy F smartphone has appeared online, suggesting a metal frame similar to that of Apple iPhone 5S.

Samsung, the renowned smartphone giant, just launched its latest flagship Galaxy S5 and its multiple variants. While the company's plans for the future remain a secret, rumors continue to outline possible launch of the next smartphone model. Amid reports of the next Galaxy Note model, new information has come to light suggesting a bigger move being planned by Samsung. GSM Arena published a new image of what it calls Samsung's upcoming Galaxy F, the higher-end version of the company's flagship S5 smartphone.

Rumors surrounding the Samsung Galaxy F smartphone started early this year and in recent months several leaks appeared online. Just this week, popular mobile tipster @evleaks shared a render of the alleged Galaxy F smartphone in a silver finish. A previous leak in June by Phone Arena clearly showed the Galaxy F aka S5 Prime in a comparison snapshot next to Samsung's current flagship smartphone.

There has been a new development in the Galaxy F leaks, as a live picture of the rumored smartphone sheds more light on its metal chassis. The new image shows the upper portion of the Galaxy F featuring a metal frame. Much like the design on Apple's iPhone 4S, 5 and 5S models, the leaked image shows the Galaxy F wrapped in a polished aluminum border with chamfered edges.

GSM Arena also learnt that the upcoming smartphone will come with a removable plastic back cover.

Based on previous leaks, the Galaxy F smartphone is expected to feature 5.2 or 5.3-inch QHD display, 16-megapixels OIS camera, Snapdragon 805 and 3GB RAM. The water-resistant qualities of the Galaxy S5 will be mirrored in the next model.

Samsung has already launched various models of its flagship smartphone, starting with the most recent Galaxy S5 MiniGalaxy S5 LTE-A with QHD display and upgraded processor, Galaxy K ZoomS5 Active and a dual-SIM model for China.
