Former "Teen Mom" star Farrah Abraham revealed in a new interview that her 5-year-old daughter, Sophia, goes to therapy. The 23-year-old reality star told Rumor Fix that she has her daughter seeing a therapist "off and on" because she thinks Sophia is enjoying the fame and spotlight a little too much.

"She's so well-known people always recognize her - they're like ''Teen Mom' and 'Farrah' and sometimes my daughter is just talking about fame and those things," Abraham told Rumor Fix. "Because of all the popularity and people talking about it around her she starts acting that way."

Abraham also said the little girl has started asking about her father and "recognizes and misses that her dad is not there."

"I've done my best and I continue to do my best in approaching that not having her dad there in the best way and I think therapy is best," Abraham said.

Sophia's father, Derick Underwood, died in a car accident in 2008 before she was born. Abraham talked about how devastating his death was on the MTV show "16 and Pregnant" and the spinoff "Teen Mom."

"I think therapy and having a counselor there to guide you and organize your next step is the proper thing to do," the reality star said.

Even though Abraham and Sophia have been thrust into the spotlight because of reality TV, Abraham said she doesn't want her daughter to ever think that she has to grow up and become a television star.

"Look I don't want my daughter to be screwed up and think she needs to be in front of the camera or being a talent person," she told the site. "It's really a distraction."

"I try to make sure she has as normal life as possible and a great atmosphere and hopefully she'll come out level headed," Abraham added.
