On June 26, Sherri Shepherd shockingly announced that she was leaving "The View" after seven years. Shepherd, who is going through a nasty divorce, released a statement to Deadline about her decision to step down as co-host.

"It's been seven wonderful years on 'The View' and after careful consideration it is time for me to move on. I am extremely grateful to Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie for giving me the opportunity. I look forward to the business opportunities that lay ahead for me and I am incredibly grateful to my 'View' family and my fans for supporting me on this journey," she said.

Shortly after Shepherd's announcement, her co-host Jenny McCarthy tweeted that she too will not be returning to the ABC talk show.

"If Sherri goes... I go too. #sisters," McCarthy tweeted.

"My View will be changing too," she added. "As will with many hard working folks. Thanks to everyone at the show for your dedication and an amazing year."

There have been conflicting reports that Shepherd and McCarthy voluntarily left "The View," while other reports suggest the two ladies were fired. According to TMZ, executive producer Bill Geddie won't be returning to the show either.

Sources told the site that producers are considering bringing Rosie O'Donnell back and are also "very interested" in boxer Laila Ali.

Reportedly "The View" also has its eye on Ross Mathews and Jesse Palmer. According to Hollywood Life, ABC wants to keep the new co-hosts in the ABC-family and is thinking about asking "Bachelorette" star and former Atlanta district attorney Andi Dorfman to fill one of the spots.

"They want to test her out and see if she would work out in the mold of 'The View.' The folks at ABC have tons of decisions to make including bringing Barbara [Walters] back, they are going to make a serious splash when they rework the show," the source told Hollywood Life. "And the potential to bring Andi in is something they are definitely considering."

In a shocking report by gossip site Media Take Out, sources claim Walters was the reason Shepherd was let go from the show. Reportedly someone close to Shepherd told MTO the following:

"Please tell your readers that Barbara Walters is a dirty b**ch, she's the reason that Sherri got fired. All of the internal metrics showed that Sherri was the most popular member of the cast with the audience. But Barbara has been EXTRA TIGHT ever since Sherri called her out for supporting that PEDOPHILE Woody Allen.

I swear [that] from the day that Sherri called Barbara out for supporting that animal, her career was over at the show. That old witch was WAITING to fire Sherri, and she did it.

And BTW, those metrics that showed that Sherri was the favorite, also showed that kiss a** Whoopi [Goldberg] was the LEAST favorite. But because she's so far up Barbara's a**, she wasn't getting fired."

What do you think about the shakeup at "The View?"
