Jennifer Lopez and Verizon Wireless announced Viva Movil, a retail brand that will offer Verizon's services that will be targeted to the Latino market, the company announced Wednesday at the CTIA 2013 according to reports.

Viva Movil will partner with Moorehead Communications and Brightsar Global Wireless, the largest Hispanic-owned business in the U.S., and aims to change the retail experience to "reflect the way that Latinos shop," according to Slashgear.

However, not wanting to close the door to other nationalities, Lopez stressed that the stores and the service will be open and available for everyone, Android Community notes.

Viva Movil will offer the same devices and plans as Verizon, but they will have premium retail stores that are better designed to serve the Latino customers. The retail store will include employees that speak Spanish, kid-friendly areas in all of their stores for parents who shop with their children, and a unique social shopping experience through its Facebook page.

As majority stakeholder and "kind of the Chief Creative Officer," the singer and business mogul has a large amount of interest in the company's success. Lopez will also design exclusive accessories for Viva Movil, the report notes.

Verizon does not have a stake in the company but serves as the exclusive wireless provider for Viva Movil, which will offer a tailor-made experience to Latino wireless consumers.

The first store is slated to open mid-June in New York City, with more coming before the end of the year in other densely-populated Latino areas, according to Engadget. Additional retail stores will be coming soon to Los Angeles, Miami, and other locations.
