Marc Anthony will have to dip deeper into his pockets to make child support payments.

According to the New York Daily News, the Latin singer was ordered Thursday to pay his ex-wife Dayanara Torres $26,800 a month in child support for his two sons, 13-year-old Christian Anthony Muñiz and 10-year-old Ryan Anthony Muñiz.

The new amount has doubled from the $13,400 Anthony was previously giving his ex-wife. Torres was originally asking for the amount to be raised from $13,400 a month to $123,426, stating that 10 years after the two divorced, her family's lifestyle needs had changed. A court denied her request.

Anthony - who also has six-year-old twins Max and Emme from his marriage to Jennifer Lopez - also opposed the increase in funds, stating that money would spoil his sons "rotten." The singer added that he worried the extra income would result in them becoming addicts.

He reportedly hired a psychologist to write a letter to the judge explaining the negative consequences that follow children living in Los Angeles with access to the entertainment industry. He had previously been ordered to submit a detailed report on his income and expenses as part of the case.

Anthony's funds will include the need for a nanny and housekeeper, which reportedly cost Torres up to $7,000 a month, the Daily News reported. He also paid her $70,000 legal fees for the divorce.

Torres, who is a former Miss Universe, claimed that Anthony only saw his children 35 days in 2013. A court found that Anthony had custody for his children for 71 days in 2012. Torres and Anthony were married in 2000 and divorced in 2004.
