Two Brown University students have been asked to leave the school as police investigate them for allegedly raping a female student from another college in November 2013.

The two freshmen football players are accused of sexually assaulting a freshman from Providence College while she was incapacitated in a Brown dorm room, the Providence Journal reported.

A spokeswoman from Brown, located in Providence, Rhode Island, said the school did not find out about the allegations until February, when the school's public safety unit alerted them to the police investigation in Providence. The students were ordered to leave the campus before the start of finals week in April.

The spokeswoman, Marisa A. Quinn, did not reveal what occurred between November and when the students were dismissed in April.

"The university considers first and foremost the safety of the campus and we make decisions in a timely way based on the best information available," Quinn told the Providence Journal.

The Providence College student said she was at a bar on Admiral Street with friends in November when she took a shot of alcohol and fell ill.

"Her arms and body fell limp," according to the police report obtained by the newspaper.

She was carried out of the bar by one of the two Brown students and placed in a taxi. The next morning she woke up in a Brown dorm room and was asked to have sex with another student, according to the police report.

She filed a complaint with Providence police on Feb. 13. A few days later she filed a restraining order against the two Brown students, according to court documents obtained by the newspaper.

The Brown students were also banned from the Providence College campus after she told school officials.

The police investigation is ongoing. So far no arrests have been made.
