Harrison Ford's injuries on the set of "Star Wars Episode 7" may have been worse than Lucasfilm and Disney representatives have described.

The Sun reports Ford may have suffered injuries to his pelvis and chest along with a broken ankle.  An insider claims Ford remains at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital after a hydraulic door from the Millennium Falcon fell on him.

"We were told he had some pelvic injuries and may have had a chest X-ray," a source told The Sun. "There's talk his ankle is actually broken. And he may still be in the hospital...Everyone was thankful nothing hit Harrison's head. It's not known when he'll be ready to start filming again."

However, the insider added cast members are reportedly concerned for their safety and are asking the production to "triple-check" the sets before filming resumes.

The Mirror U.K.'s inside source claims Ford was in a lot of pain when he was air-lifted to the hospital.

"Harrison was hit by the door and looked in a bad way and was clutching his chest when he was on the stretcher," an inside source told the Mirror U.K. "He is one of Hollywood's biggest stars and no chances were being taken so he got into a helicopter and was taken away in a lot of pain. His foot was damaged too."

The "Star Wars Episode 7" production released the following statement regarding Ford's on set accident.  The spokesperson did not confirm any injuries relating to Ford's chest and pelvis.

"Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates," a spokesperson for "Star Wars Episode 7" told the Mirror U.K.

"Star Wars Episode 7" is slated to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
