Google is making it easier for everyone to stay up to date with the World Cup 2014 scores, team stats and highlights.

How people wish they could sit back and enjoy every minute of the 2014 FIFA World Cup from the comfort of their homes? Unfortunately, companies and schools don't sanction holidays for this tournament. Google is coming to the rescue of the fans worldwide by giving them live scores of the ongoing matches, team stats and highlights.

With Google's new simple search, football fans can get all the information such as team lineups before the match, live scores, player and team stats, by simply searching for "World Cup" or "World Cup USA." Google also has a dedicated World Cup website in its Trends section that displays all the information about the match at one place.

According to the company's official Inside Search blog, Google Trends will show real-time updates on players, teams and moments that are getting worldwide attention. Users can explore moments on how the entire country is feeling ahead of the match based on the public Google+ conversations.

"As the world unites under a common love for a single sport, there's sure to be a lot of action. From dramatic tumbles to magisterial strikes, and from contested headers to flops and flags, we'll be there to help you discover and connect with the moments that matter most," Google product manager, Emily Moxley, wrote in the company's official blog, Wednesday.

The Mountain View, Calif. based tech giant is also pushing its Google Now service to show match lineups and other game-related information without users proactively looking for it on the internet.

Google is also willing to give its users across the world a virtual tour of the 12 stadiums where the games will take place this season. The web giant is making it possible by adding the venues to its panoramic Street View Imagery, so armchair internet users can explore inside and outside views of the stadiums, including the painted streets of the region.
