Google Glass' new World Cup update lets soccer fans track the tournament, the company announced on their blog Tuesday.

"He dribbles down the line, crosses it into the box, and it's a header! Gooooooaaaaaaaallll," the company said in the post. "With today's new update, you can now follow the World Cup on Glass when you sign up for your notifications on Google Now."

According to Fox News, the capability allows users to track events by setting up notifications on Google's Now app. This also includes the most up-to-date information on upcoming matches, competition currently being played, and those which have concluded. Standings for each countries team are also available.

The company said consumers can easily navigate through the updated information.

"With the updated app, when you take a picture on Glass, you'll see it instantly on your Android phone when you open the MyGlass app," the company said in another blog post. "Tap the image to open it, apply your filter du jour (or wave the #nofilter flag), and export it to the photo-sharing app of your choice - Instagram, Facebook, VSCO - whichever strikes your fancy."

Google Glass has many other attributes. Users can record video, search the Internet and even play tennis. There is also a balance game that evaluates one's ability to keep books on their head, and a clay shooter similar to the famous duck hunt game.

The match game evaluates how well one pairs patches with similar patterns, while a shape splitter breaks up shapes, the company's blog said.

The connected eyewear also plays music. Consumers can look for songs, review playlists, and hear tunes in good quality sound while the device is on their face.

32 countries compete in the World Cup, according to information on the Federal International of Football Association's website. Matches begin Thursday and run until July 13 in Brazil.
