James Franco did not sleep with Lindsay Lohan, according to a story the actor wrote for Vice Magazine.

In his fiction piece "Bungalow 89," the actor gives a detailed account about how a "Hollywood girl" named Lindsay tries to seduce a "Hollywood guy" named James by showing up to his hotel room during his stay at the  Chateau Marmont. In the story Lohan obtained a copy of Franco's room key and insisted that he let her sleep on his couch because she was lonely.

"She knocked on the door. She was in her pajamas. She had bare feet," he wrote. "[She pleaded] 'I just want to sleep on your couch. I'm lonely.'"

Franco insisted that he read the troubled actress a J.D. Salinger bedtime story and listened to her ramble about her sexual encounter with a Greek man after the premiere of "A Prairie Home Companion" in New York.

"I ran my fingers through her hair and thought about this girl sleeping on my chest, our fictional Hollywood girl, Lindsay," James wrote. "What will she do? I hope she gets better. You see, she is famous. She was famous because she was a talented child actress, and now she's famous because she gets into trouble. She is damaged."

He added: "For a while, after her high hellion days, she couldn't get work because she couldn't get insured. ... Her career suffered, and she started getting arrested (stealing, DUIs, car accidents, other things). But the arrests, even as they added up, were never going to be an emotional bottom for her, because she got just as much attention for them as she used to get for her film performances."

The short story is reportedly a response to Lohan's statement that she had slept with Franco and 36 other male figures in the entertainment industry. The names, which were published in InTouch Weekly Magazine, included Justin Timberlake, Joaquin Phoenix, actor Lukas Haas, Orlando Bloom, Ashton Kutcher, Adam Levine, Zac Efron, baseball player Jamie Burke, Heath Ledger, and Colin Farrell.

During her OWN documentary the actress insisted that the list was real and that it was written while she was in the fifth step of Alcoholics Anonymous.
