Ubisoft revealed the first trailer for the next-gen exclusive "Assassin's Creed: Unity."

The teaser featured the first look at Arno, the title character in the next AC franchise title. Ubisoft claims Arno is the deadliest Assassin the franchise has seen.

Along with Arno's appearance came the introduction of the title's new four-player co-op gameplay option. Gamers will now be able to team up with their fellow Assassins to take down targets.

The setting takes place in the chaos of 18th Century France as the Brotherhood attempts to investigate the dark forces causes the madness in the city. Players will be able to seamlessly enter through buildings, explore streets, travel via rooftops and take advantage of city's elaborate underground catacombs.

According to Ubisoft, everything in "Assassin's Creed: Unity" is new and developed specifically for next-gen consoles.

"Because of these new-gen consoles, this is the first time that we can fundamentally change a lot of the core mechanics and a lot of the stuff under the hood in terms of engine, game mechanics and actual game structure," Creative Director Alex Amancio told Ubisoft's official blog. "So this is what Unity is. It's not a reboot. It is a reinvention of Assassin's Creed for this next generation."

As for the present day storyline, Ubisoft didn't dish out any details during their E3 press conference. However, Amancio did tease in Ubisoft's latest blog post it is nothing like gamers have seen before.

"It's very different than anything you've seen in any of the past games," Amancio said. "Black Flag was different. This is more different."

"Assassin's Creed: Unity" will be released to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on Oct. 28. The title is available for pre-order now, which will include exclusive content and additional missions. You can watch the E3 gameplay trailer in the video below.
