Mark Hamill isn't one to dish "Star Wars Episode 7" spoilers, but admitted he's afraid the film won't leave up to the hype.

During an interview with The Orlando Sentinel, Hamill spoke candidly about the franchise, including the massive fandom it has acquired over the years.

"This is a whole different world," Hamill said, referring to spoilers that leak online. "The first one, no one cared. The second one there was a lot of interest, but it was before the Internet. ... I tell people we're not trying to annoy you or tease you or play some massive game. Basically what the goal is to keep the surprises for the movie instead of spoiling them on the Internet."

Hamill told the Sentinel he's concerned the "Star Wars Episode 7" won't live up to everyone's expectation, claiming the hype surrounding the film is massive.

"I have this feeling that no matter what we do there's going to be a faction that really is disappointed. You just can't live up to that. Any kind of reunion type endeavor, whatever it is ... you can never go home again," the "Star Wars" actor said.

However, he was glad to see his fellow original cast members reunited on set.

"I hadn't seen Tony Daniels or Carrie [Fisher] or Harrison [Ford] or Peter Mayhew in ages. ... I was wonderful to see them again, because I didn't expect to. Again, this is all so unexpected. It's like getting out that pair of pants you haven't worn in five years and finding a 20-dollar bill in the pocket. Oh, this is nice."

Speaking of Fisher, her iconic Princess Leia had Twitter fans protesting for new merchandise. After creating trending topic, fans were able to get the attention of Disney executives, who announced they will be launching more Leia merchandise soon.

"The current assortment of Star Wars products at the Disney Store launched earlier this year, and is just the beginning of what is to come," Disney spokeswoman Margita Thompson told TIME. "We're excited to be rolling out new products in the coming months, including several items that will feature Princess Leia, one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars galaxy."

"Star Wars Episode 7" will be released to theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
