Marvel's "Ant-Man" production is still scrambling to find a replacement for director Edgar Wright, according to Deadline.

Two directors are reportedly in talks to take on the project, Nicholas Stoller and Michael Dowse.  Stoller is best know for his comedic films including "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," "Get Him To The Greek" and "The Five-Year Engagement."  Dowse is also know for his comedies including "Take Me Home Tonight" and "Fubar."

However, it seems like directors have been avoiding the project.  Three directors have allegedly passed on the film, including director Adam McKay and most recently Rawson Thurber, according to ThisIsInfamous.com.

"Earlier today, we scooped that Rawson Thurber had been offered the job in the hopes of settling down the movie's rocky road to production and getting things back on pace to hit that July 2015 release date Marvel is still dead set on," ThisIsInfamous reports.  "Unfortunately, the ANT-MAN nightmare for Marvel continues, as sources tell us Thurber has indeed passed on the film, sending the studio right back to the drawing board to find someone actually willing to touch this movie with a 10-foot pole."

Wright hasn't divulged details regarding the his departure from the franchise, but allegations have surfaced claiming the director wasn't happy with Marvel making changes to his writing.

"Six weeks ago Marvel took the script off them and gave the writing assignment to two very low credit writers. One of the writers were from Marvel's in house writing team. Edgar stayed cool, agreed to stay on the project, and read the draft," according to The Latino Review.  "The script came in this week and was completely undone. Poorer, homogenized, and not Edgar's vision. Edgar met with Marvel on Friday to formally exit and the announcement went out directly after."

"Ant-Man" is slated to hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
