Motorola has confirmed the roll-out of Google's latest Android KitKat 4.4.3 version for Moto X, Moto G and Moto E smartphones starting this week.

Motorola, the renowned mobile manufacturer, is pushing Google's latest Android KitKat version to its flagship, mid-range devices. The KitKat 4.4.3 version, which was recently released by Google, will be available to the Moto X, Moto G and Moto E smartphones starting this week, with significant improvements to the UI and overall performance, Motorola announced in an official blog post, Tuesday.

The phone maker has laid out its road map to push the latest Android update to the Moto X handsets on T-Mobile's network along with Moto G owners who bought the smartphone online in the U.S. and at retail outlets in Brazil. Additionally, Moto E users in the U.S. and Canada who purchased the handsets online will be treated with the next major Android update as well.

Google released the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update as a bug fix, which also improves the dialer with a new interface and new colors for a better overall user experience. The update enhances consistency, usability, stability, framework, security and power profile capabilities, the phone maker said Tuesday.

Motorola is currently undergoing massive changes, as it is being bought by Lenovo from its current owner Google. The deal, which is valued at $2.91 billion, was announced in January. As a part of the deal, Lenovo will take ownership of the Motorola Mobility smartphone business while Google keeps the majority of the patents. But the massive change has not affected the company's ongoing strategy. While updating smartphones seems a smaller move, the company is expected to launch the next Moto X smartphone this summer. It also plans to shut down its sole American manufacturing plant in Texas later this year but will continue to make Moto Maker handsets for its customers.

One thing is sure with Motorola, its timely Android updates, which it promises to continue even after the Lenovo takeover.

According to the company's release notes for Moto X and Moto G, the Android 4.4.3 update will bring improved camera quality, even in low light conditions using the front shooter. It will make it easier for owners of Moto X and Moto G smartphones to pause and resume video recording on viewfinder while taking a break. There is a new addition to both handsets, Motorola Alert, which sends periodic messages to specific contacts.

If the update notification has been sent to the handsets, download and install while connected to a Wi-Fi network or navigate to Settings > About Phone > System Updates  and download and install them on Moto X, Moto G and Moto E smartphones.
