"Kitchen Nightmares" premiered an unforgettable episode last week that featured Amy's Baking Company restaurant and its' unconventional owners Amy and Samy Bouzaglo. The Bouzaglo's wanted the help of host Gordon Ramsay to improve their business but rather than be appreciative of his time, the owners emotional outburst and reluctance to change forced Ramsay to quit the job for the first time ever on "Kitchen Nightmares".
Despite the public backlash for their attitude towards customers, employees, and Ramsay, the Bouzaglo's have decided to use their current buzz within the community to re-open the Arizona restaurant. At their event, the couple allegedly planned to speak on their experience on "Kitchen Nightmares" and their personal opinion of how the restaurant and the couple were portrayed on the episode.
The lawyers of "Kitchen Nightmares" have presented the Bouzaglo's with a legal letter stating if they negatively speak of the hit television series they will face legal consequences.
According to Radar Online, the legal document states, "If you speak about the show without Upper Ground's and Fox's prior approval, and if you disparage the show, its host, or its producers, you will breach your obligations under Paragraph 10 of your Personal Release and Paragraph 14 of your Participant Agreement. These agreements prohibit you from speaking publicly about Kitchen Nightmare, other than to acknowledge the mere fact of your participation in the series in personal publicity relating to yourself."
The legal document goes on to say if the couple ignore the warning and proceeds with their war against "Kitchen Nightmares", they will be liable to pay $100,000.
Amy and Samy Bouzaglo hav canceled their press conference and claim it was the high volume of death threats that lead to the decision. A response to the lawsuit by the couple has not been reported.
