Bret Michael gave his fans an update after being rushed off stage last week due to a medical emergency.

The 51-year-old "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" singer thanked his fans for their get well wishes after had to be helped off stage last Thursday during his set at the Palace Theatre in Manchester, New Hampshire.

"Apologies for the pale white face," Michaels wrote on his website. "It's the first day I've been able to fly to the kids. There is not enough thanks that I can send to the awesome fans, friends, family and medical staff for their help and well wishes. You all rock!"

Paramedics who came to Michaels' aid said the singer's blood sugar was dangerously low. Michaels was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a child. He was under strict medical order to take it easy.

Michaels, lead vocalist of the band Poison, posted the update on his website, along with a selfie of himself on a plane. The former "Rock of Love" star had to cancel several shows after he fell ill, but already plans to head back onstage.

"As previously posted, regrettably Bret Michaels will not be able to perform tonight in Albany, New York, due to continued illness and diabetes complications related to the Nora flu virus," his team wrote on Facebook at the time. "Our apologies to all the fans. We are hoping that this will all be under control and Bret will be better in the next few days. At this time Michaels is planning to resume performances as scheduled in St. Louis on June 13th at the Jefferson Barracks. Thank you for your continued support!"

During the recent years, Michaels has suffered from a stroke, brain hemorrhage, emergency appendectomy and heart surgery.
