As the death toll climbs in Oklahoma City and its suburbs, CBS made the bold decision to delay the season finale of their romantic comedy series, "Mike & Molly", because of its eerie story line having to do with a tornado that rips through Chicago.

CBS said in a statement yesterday, "due to the tragic events...in Oklahoma, we are pre-empting tonight's season finale of 'Mike & Molly,' which has a related storyline."

The description of the episode reads, "Mike and Carl get stuck working at the Renaissance Faire after their boss, Patrick, gets dumped by Mike's mother. Later, as a tornado descends on Chicago, Mike and Molly confess important news to each other, on the third season finale..."

There are no reports that any devastation was going to be shown in the episode, but CBS deemed it inappropriate given the current circumstances facing Oklahoma City and its surrounding suburbs, and decided that "a repeat broadcast of 'Mike & Molly' would run in the [meantime]. The season finale will be broadcast at an appropriate date."

The show stars comedic big shot Melissa McCarthy as a fourth-grade teacher, Billy Gardell as a cop and tells the story of a couple that meets at an Overeaters' Anonymous meeting.
