Production for Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is well under way in Detroit and everyone wants to know where the superhero flick will be filming. Details have been kept under wraps but it was recently revealed that production shot a scene at a convenience store in Keego Harbor.

Reportedly the scenes were filmed around May 14 but it's not clear who was present at the location. In an interview with C and G News, City Manager for Keego Harbor, Linda Voll, confirmed that Lakepoint Market was closed to the public so filming could take place.

"Who knows if [Lakepoint Market] will be in the movie or not," she said. "But it is supposed to be in the 'Batman vs. Superman' movie."

Lee Anne Muldoon, publicist for Crown City Pictures told C and G News that filming locations would only be revealed after the filming was finished because they wanted to avoid large crowds. Voll said that only a handful of people are aware of the filming locations ahead of time and the information is only given out on a need-to-know basis.

"We had a coupe extra [police] officers over that way to keep traffic moving and for crowd control," Voll said. "I didn't even tell the police until I needed them."

Reportedly, the film crew scouted over 100 locations in the area before deciding on Lakepoint Market, which is located at Orchard Lake Road and Pridham Street.

"Keego Harbor is a small city. Not much that happens here goes unnoticed by our residents so when a bunch of big trucks show up at a store along Orchard Lake Road, with a security detail, and the store closes for a few days, it's normal for neighbors to start asking questions," City Council member Rob Kalman told the site in an email.

"We'll have to wait until 2016 to see if Keego Harbor gets some screen time. Nonetheless, it's something for us to look forward to," Kalman added.

Last month there was a rumor that production was scouting a location in Detroit to film a robbery scene. According to Batman News, a resident passed along the following information:

-They wanted to film a night scene at the courthouse in Detroit but they were running into complications because there would be loud weapons

-They were searching for a convenience store they could film a robbery scene at

- A helicopter was supposed to land on COBO Hall in Detroit and the production wanted to blow a hole in the roof but COBO said no way. Even though production promised they would fix the hole, they were still given a firm no. Instead, they were moving that scene to Chicago.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be released May 2016.
