Apple just released two new "Your Verse videos" showing musicians and traveling writers using the iPad Air.

The first video was about Esa-Pekka Salonen, a Finnish composer and conductor. He came up with an iPad application that helped him conduct and compose music. In the video, he took a simple musical concept and expanded it to create a full composition. He used the apps "The Orchestra by Touch Press" and "Notion" to pin down notes with different instruments. He also used "Pianist Pro" to conduct an orchestra.

The second video focused on a deaf travel writer Chérie King, who used apps to translate languages instantly, document her journeys on social media, map out her trips, and type up her articles. It showed the writer using Twitter, Pinterest, and other apps while traveling through places like Vietnam and Morocco.

Both videos contained links to the individuals' Apple pages, which gave more information on how they use the iPad Air in their professions. The videos ended with the question, "What will your verse be?"

In his Apple page, Salonen explained how he developed The Orchestra app with colleagues in the Philharmonia to help demystify how an orchestra works.

"I created the Orchestra app to share my love of classical music. To make it more approachable, especially for the next generation," he wrote.

"All of a sudden, what looks kind of odd and distant and maybe a little abstract becomes much more real and normal. I'd be delighted if somebody would discover classical music through The Orchestra," he added.

King related how she traveled to 31 countries and five continents using her hearing aid and her iPad. She used the iPad to track flight changes and access travel guides.

"My iPad lets me share my journey with the world. Other deaf people tell me they're traveling more now because they see it's possible," she wrote.
