Before there was Cory Monteith, there was Matthew Morrison.

"Glee" actress Lea Michele admitted she's dated more than one of her co-stars in her new book, "Brunette Ambition."

The 27-year-old actress revealed that she and Morrison went out before landing their roles on the FOX musical show.

"When we shot the [Glee] pilot, I met Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley and Chris Colfer for the first time," Michele writes in her book, according to Entertainment Weekly. "I had worked on Broadway with Jenna Ushkowitz and Matthew Morrison before. Matt had been a friend of mine for years, and in fact we'd actually dated back in the day for a Broadway beat."

Prior to this, both stars had denied reports of their fling, stating that they were strictly friends. Michele and Morrison had been rumored to be dating early in the show's run. Both maintained that their friendship had preceded their hit show.

In 2010 Lea told Hollywood.com, "I've known Matt for years. He's been a friend of mine from New York. People are going to make things up. I think it's just because we really are so close."

In an interview he had with Parade Magazine in 2010, Morrison seconded Michele's claims that a romantic relationship did not exist.

"We were literally on set and I got a call from my publicist [about Lea], and [Lea] got a call a minute later and we looked at each other like, 'What the f**K?' It's so laughable."

Morrison is currently engaged to Renee Puente. Michele eventually went on to date her Glee on-screen beau Cory Monteith. The two dated for two years until Monteith's death in July 2013, from a toxic mix "involving intravenous heroin use combined with the ingestion of alcohol."

"I only have happy memories of Cory," Michele told the April 2014 issue of Seventeen Magazine. "He was not his addiction - unfortunately, it won. But that wasn't who he was. Cory made me feel like a queen every day. From the minute he said, 'I'm your boyfriend,' I loved every day, and I thank him for being the best boyfriend and making me feel so beautiful."
