The "Star Wars Episode 7" production is giving fans a chance to become an official part of the upcoming film.

Director J.J. Abrams explained in a video posted on StarWars.com about the production's partnership with UNICEF, an organization that works towards helping children from dying of preventable diseases worldwide.

"We're so great for all the 'Star Wars' fans out there for their support and their patience that we would like to invite you to be part of the fun here. We want to put you in the movie," Abrams said in the video. "...Starting today, we're going to give you a chance to win a trip to be in the movie. That means you get to come to London while we're shooting the movie mostly in Pinewood Studios."

"You get to meet the cast, go behind the scenes and see the whole movie making process. But more than that, we'll put you in hair and makeup and wardrobe and you'll actually get to be in the movie. That's right, you'll be in 'Star Wars.'"

Abrams added that by entering the raffle fans would be donating to an UNICEF and "Star Wars" joint initiative cast "Star Wars Force For Change." The initiative is dedicated to finding new solutions to the "world's biggest problems," according to Abrams, and help fund UNICEF innovation labs.

"Sources tell THR that the J.J. Abrams-led production is seeking to re-create the desert planet Tatooine, which was the home of Anakin and Luke Skywalker as well as the headquarters of Jabba the Hutt," The Hollywood Reporter reports.

"Star Wars Episode 7" will be released to theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
