A former student at Quinnipiac University was arrested on Sunday after making bomb threats before commencement, according to ABC News.

Danielle Shea, 22, of Massachusetts, is scheduled for arraignment in Meriden Superior Court on Monday.

According to Connecticut authorities, Shea called in the threats because her mother was unaware that she didn't attend the school this year -- despite paying thousands of dollars in tuition.

After her arrest in the campus athletic center, where the ceremony was moved after the threats, she admitted responsibility for the calls. Shea was reportedly wearing a cap and gown she purchased at the time.

Around 5:38 p.m., Shea called campus police and warned them of a "bomb in the library." Almost 20 minutes later, she called again and said "Several bombs are on campus. You haven't cleared out graduation. That's not a good idea."

Following the first call, authorities searched the library and found no explosives. However, after the second one, school administrators decided to move graduation to a different building on campus.

Additionally, investigators eventually tracked the calls to Shea's cell phone.

She is being held on $20,000 bond and faces multiple charges including threatening in the first degree and falsely reporting an incident, according to the New York Daily News.

It is unknown if she has legal represenation. Calls left at her mother's home by The Associated Press were not returned.
