(SPOILER ALERT)

Shonda Rhimes sure knows how to keep Gladiators on the edge of their seats. Thursday night's season finale had the twists and turns expected during any episode of "Scandal" and will definitely have fans counting the days until the season three return.

The episode started with Olivia, Cyrus, Mellie and Hollis Doyle meeting to discuss the Cytron card. In the last episode, it was discovered the card was stolen right from under Olivia's nose. The group decides they have to get rid of Billy Chambers (it was revealed that he was the mole). President Grant comes into the room and says he is on board with whatever course of action they want to take.

After the meeting, President Grant pulls Olivia to the side and tells her that he wants to marry her. Grant tells Olivia she has another problem to fix and tells her to figure out a way America will accept her as the new First Lady. That's a whole lot of fixing but Olivia comes up with a plan.

Meanwhile, the mystery man who has been meeting with Jake tells him he wants to meet Olivia. Jake is skeptical but the mystery man is not budging.

Back at Pope & Associates, they come to the conclusion that Governor Reston is working with Billy Chambers and Huck and Quinn are able to hack security cameras to verify this information. David Rosen (who gave the citron card to Chambers but is still working with Pope & Associates) makes a phone call and warns the person the team is on to him.

The mystery man is seen meeting with Cyrus now and tells him to leave Olivia to him, he will "handle her" and urges Cyrus to "handle" the President. As soon as the mystery man walks away, Olivia calls and tells him that Reston is working with Chambers, the mole. Cyrus, who has been under an extreme amount of pressure, starts to freak out because the President is having a meeting with Reston right now. He gets up to head back to the White House, takes two steps and collapses from a heart attack.

During the meeting with President Grant and Reston, he informs the President he knows about Defiance and that the election was rigged. He won't go forward with the information if the President puts him on his ticket for the upcoming election.

David Rosen meets with Billy Chambers and we discover that he never really handed over the citron card. Chambers admits to killing several people throughout the season and tells Rosen that it is crucial he gets the card. David hands him the card, which we later discover was a fake.

Cyrus who is now in the hospital recovering gets a visit from Mellie. The President is already there and tells Mellie that there marriage is over (for real this time), that he wants Olivia and if she ever leaks Olivia' name as the mistress her life will be a "living hell." Without saying a word, Mellie storms out of the hospital.

In another not so shocking twist, Olivia's apartment is broken into again and someone tries to kill her again but as last time, Jake is there to rescue her. He kills the intruder and explains what is going on.

There is a secret group, which Jake works for, called B613. As long as Olivia is with the President she will not be safe. He also informs her that he is now in danger for saving her, again. Cyrus tells her that her relationship with the President will be doomed like Romeo and Juliet but will not discuss B613.

Dvaid Rosen, who turned out to be the good guy, goes and gives the real Cytron card to Cyrus who destroys it. Rosen is thanked by being named the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. Once again, Olivia tells President Grant they cannot be together and urges him to go back to his wife. The episode ends with Olivia, finally looking happy, getting ready to go for a jog. As soon as she steps outside her apartment, she is bombarded by the press asking if she is really the President's mistress. Someone comes and grabs her and shoves her into a car. She is face to face with the mystery man who she surprisingly calls dad.
