Adam Driver has officially been cast in the upcoming "Star Wars Episode 7" production, but previous reports of the actor possibly taking on a role of the villain may no be accurate.

According to Jedi News, rumor has it Driver will be taking on the role of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Leia Skywalker's (Carrie Fisher) son.  However,  Driver might have to allegedly battle the Dark Side forces.

"Sounds like Adam Driver is NOT going to play a villain...sort of," Jedi News reports.  "He will be playing the son of Han and Leia, and it seems he will be seduced to the Dark Side, and a main plot point for the movie will be their attempt to rescue him."

Driver's initial storyline might have to do with how finds allegiance with the Dark Side, but we'll have to wait for the film's release to find out for sure.

However, The Latino Review has also revealed rumors regarding the possible roles of cast memebers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow. Check out The Latino Review rumors below:

Domhnall Gleeson is a good bet for Ben Skywalker (don't know what he's going to be called yet, so I'm going to be guessing based on Expanded Universe names unless otherwise noted), I can see the resemblance. Anthony Daniels is over with Mark Hamill, because C-3PO, I guess?

On the other side is a good chunk of the Solo family: Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Daisy Ridley, who's probably Jaina Solo or a proxy. The bad-boys corner of John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, and Andy Serkis can't all be villains. I'd peg Boyega as the Han Solo of this installment, getting caught up in Skywalker/Solo family business while serving a new form of Galactic Government. Driver seems like a great possibility for a villain with understandable motivations.

"Star Wars Episode 7" will be released to theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
