A new Google Glass Mother's Day ad promotes the device's recording feature.

The two-and-a-half minute short film, "Seeds" shows clips of Indian filmmaker Aneesh Chaganty's 10-day journey to visit his mother in India from San Francisco to tell her he will soon be a father.

Chaganty's footage captures his travels on planes, trains and automobiles in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Tokyo and India - all while wearing the same clothes each day and a wedding ring during filming.

It gives us a first-person look at the fictional father-to-be's trip as he travels thousands of miles to get to his mother's place.

Google told NDTV the footage fully utilized the device's recording capability.

"His interactions with people are all captured through Glass's video recording feature," Google Glass said in a statement.

Chaganty graduated from The University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts last year.

His other short films include "Alibi" in 2011, 2008's "The Sound of Evanescence" and "Monsters" in 2012.

"Seeds" is part of Google's Glass Creative Collective archive.

Google's Glass recording capability allows users to capture video at the push of a button.

Consumers can also search the Internet and even play tennis. There is also a balance that evaluates one's ability to keep books on their head - a clay shooter game also resembles the famous duck hunt game.

The Match feature evaluates how well one pairs patches with similar patterns, while a Shape Splitter breaks up shapes, according to the company's blog.

Google's music capabilities on Glass allow users to look for songs, review playlists, and hear tunes in good quality sound while the device is on their face.

The device's new operating system Android Kitkat gave consumers more battery power upon its release the week of April 15, PC Magazine reported.

Google expects to release the $1,500 device this year.
