Televangelist Pat Robertson is famous for his opinions on homosexuality, politics and the Mark of the Beast. However, his opinion on marriage is currently what has the media world buzzing, according to the Huffington Post.

On his daily television show, “The 700 Club,” he responded to question posed by a woman who is married to a man that cheated in the past.

"I've been trying to forgive my husband for cheating on me," wrote a viewer named Ivy. "We have gone to counseling, but I just can't seem to forgive, nor can I trust. How do you let go of the anger? How do you trust again? God says to forgive, but it’s been so hard to do. I want to forgive so we can get on with our lives.”

Co-host Kristi Watts attempted to ease into an answer, calling the act of forgiveness “difficult” and the act of adultery “one of the ultimate betrayals.” However, Robertson was a little more forward.

"Here's the secret," he said. "Stop talking about the cheating. He cheated on you, well, he's a man."

"Does he provide a home for you to live in," Robertson said after suggesting the viewer focus on the reasons she got married in the first place. “Does he provide food for you to eat? Does he provide clothes for you to wear? Is he nice to the children?"

Robertson also discussed the “tendency” of a man.

"Recognize also, like it or not, males have a tendency to wander a little bit," Robertson said. "What you want to do is make a home so wonderful that he doesn't want to wander.”

This advice is the latest in controversial comments Robertson has made. He once told viewers that women who looked “awful” can cause issues in a marriage.

"It just isn't something to just lie there, 'Well, I'm married to him so he's got to take me slatternly looking,'" he said in Janurary. "You've got to fix yourself up, look pretty."
