Country singer Scotty McCreery was the victim of a home invasion during the early hours of Monday morning. According to Fox News, Raleigh Police were called around 2 a.m. to an apartment near North Carolina State University campus. McCreery recently finished his second year at the school.

Police were told that three armed suspects forced their way into the apartment and took wallets, cash and electronic items. No one was hurt during the burglary. According to TMZ, a 911 call made to police said the intruders were African-American and wore black sweatpants with gray hoodies.

The person who made the 911 call was in another room but hears the suspects say, "Everyone on the floor. Give us everything you've got." A neighbor told WTVD that they heard a group of people running up to the stairs.

"All you heard was yelling like 'Who are you? What are you doing here?' for a good five minutes. It was just yelling," the neighbor said.

McCreery, 20, won Season 10 of "American Idol" is in the middle of his "See You Tonight Tour" to support his second album. According to his website, his tour will resume on May 9 in Bakersfield, Calif. He released his first album, "Clear as Day" in 2011.

 "Yes, it was definitely a very scary night. Luckily, my friends and I are safe and the Raleigh PD is on the case," McCreery posted on his Facebook page. "I will share more when the time is right, but as of now we do not want to do or say anything that could hinder the investigation. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and support. A huge thank you to the Raleigh PD for their quick response and hard work in solving this case."
