Samsung has indirectly confirmed the existence of the mini version of its flagship Galaxy S5 by listing the product on its Finnish website.

Samsung has followed up on the success of its 2014 flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5, with the launch of Galaxy S5 Crystal Edition and Galaxy K Zoom, and now it is the turn of the  metal-cased Galaxy S5 Prime, the Lite variant and the Mini version. Samsung's Finnish website displays a new entry with a model number SM-G800F, which is linked to the unannounced Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini.

The Galaxy S5 Mini rumors suggest the smartphone comes with trimmed down specs.  According to a report from GSM Arena, which spotted the handset on Samsung's website, the S5 Mini, like its higher-end model, will be water resistant with IP67 rating. Other expected features are a 4.5-inch display with 720p resolution, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU clocking speeds up to 1.6 GHz and 1.5GB RAM. The handset might come with a 16GB onboard storage, 8-megapixel camera and a 1.5-megapixel front facing shooter, a 2,100mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Despite the detailed leak, it remains unclear whether the mini version will feature Samsung Galaxy S5's fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor.

The report further reveals Samsung's plans to launch Galaxy S5 Neo, which goes by the model number SM-G750. The leaked technical details about the handset are scarce, which include a 2.3GHz CPU with a bigger 5.1-inch 720p display.

Samsung's most recent addition to its smartphone lineup is the Galaxy K Zoom, the successor of the Galaxy S4 Zoom. With the launch of K Zoom, Samsung is looking to redefine the camera technology on a smartphone. In the meantime, Samsung has sent out invitations for a health related event that is scheduled for May 28 in San Francisco, Engadget reports.
