Microsoft's expansion in to mobiles for its Age of Empires series is finally arriving this summer with a revised version called the Age of Empires: World Domination for iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

Microsoft Studio's popular PC game titled "Age of Empires" is arriving on the three most popular mobile platforms; Android, iOS and Windows Phone. The Redmond software giant announced the news in a 90-second video posted on its new website dedicated to Age of Empires: World Domination, which is the name of the new title for mobile. The teaser video does not give away much information on the game play but confirms the roll out will begin during summer.

Microsoft's plan to expand the game beyond its PC presence was tipped in June, last year and the  software giant had also hinted that the move was imminent, Polygon reported. Microsoft also rubbished some rumors about bringing additional Xbox Live-based games to mobile. The expansion is a part of a deal with Japanese smartphone game maker KLab Inc.

Currently, the video teases a glimpse of what the game will feature. The video shows a revamped battle system and series of civilizations including, the Celts under King Arthur, the Vikings led by Cnut the Great, the Franks and Huns led by Joan of Arc and Attila, respectively.

According to a report from MacRumors and YouTube's video description, the next-generation mobile strategy game will come as a free-to-play title. Besides Age of Empires: World Domination, Microsoft also released Kinectimals, an Xbox 360 title, for iOS in 2011 and then to Android in 2012. Another Xbox 360 title Ms. Splosion Man was launched on the iOS platform last year. The company also shared some of its Android and iOS mobile apps to support Xbox 360 and Windows PC titles, such as Xbox SmartGlass app and the Halo Waypoint app.

Microsoft did not reveal the specific date for the launch, but is giving exclusive access and more information if interested users can pre-register on the game's official website.
