According to the latest "Batman Vs. Superman" rumors, actress Holly Hunter could be playing Leslie Thompkins in Zack Snyder's upcoming superhero flick starring Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman.

The rumor was started by Latino Review when they suggested that Hunter could possibly play an ally to Batman. There were rumors that she might play the owner of the Daily Planet but the site thinks she is better suited to play the doctor who went to school with Thomas Wayne, Bruce Wayne's father.

When Thompkins appeared in "Batman: The Animated Series," she already knew Bruce was Batman and would often treat him for injuries he couldn't go to the hospital for. Just like Batman's sidekick Alfred (Jeremy Irons), Thompkins kept his identity a secret.

Warner Bros. has not responded to or confirmed that Hunter will play Thompkins so it's still just a rumor. The actress, along with Toa Okamoto and Callan Mulvey, were the latest casting announcements made by the studio.

In a press release, Snyder said that the new additions will play "newly created" characters but did not elaborate. There have also been other rumors about what roles Mulvey and Okamoto would have in "Man of Steel 2."

According to Comic Book Resources, Mulvey could play "Lex Luthor's muscle."

"He can hold his own - at least physically - against Superman," the site writes.

They also suggested that he could be playing a Steve Lombard type of character at the Daily Planet. In the comics Lombard was a sports columnist working at the newspaper and is a member of Superman's supporting cast. Clark Kent as well as Lois Lane are some of his closest coworkers.

As for Okamoto, CBR thinks she would make a good sidekick for Lex, who will be played by Jesse Eisenberg.

"Okamoto could become the latest in a long line of Lex Luthor's bad girls," the site writes. "Okamoto proved to be quite a versatile actress in 'The Wolverine,' meaning that she could pull off playing either Lex's sassy sidekick, or possibly a fellow journalist at the Daily Planet."
