Nokia took the stage at Microsoft's BUILD conference to show off its latest string of Lumia smartphones including the high-end Lumia 930 along with low-cost Lumia 630 and Lumia 635.

Nokia, one of the biggest smartphone making companies around the world, announced a new player to take on its rivals' flagship smartphones. The Finnish maker unveiled the all-new Lumia 930 packed with high-end specifications, premium build and improved performance. The announcement was made at Microsoft's BUILD conference Wednesday, alongside three other Lumia handsets hitting the low-price slab. With this, the smartphone maker is trying to acquire both ends of the tunnel.

Lumia 930: Nokia's new flagship smartphone

Nokia's latest flagship smartphone has numerous noteworthy features that are comparable to any high-end smartphone in the market. For starters, the Lumia 930 is powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The smartphone features a 5-inch FULL HD display with 1920x1080 pixel resolution and 441ppi. The new smartphone is more aligned to the 5-inch smartphone race, which is dominated by companies like Samsung and HTC. Nokia has added the Gorilla Glass 3, Super Sensitive Touch display, which offers near 180-degree viewing angle for watching videos in bright sunlight and also in a dim environment, Nokia explained in a blog post, Wednesday.

Nokia's camera technology is way above what is offered in similar  high-end smartphones. That said, Nokia Lumia 930 also features the company's high standard 20-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.2-megapixel HD shooter on the front. The rear camera uses Nokia's PureView technology, optical image stabilization (OIS) and ZEISS optics for vibrant and sharp photos. Video recording in HD is treated with superior sound quality thanks to the four high-performance microphones.

Nokia's finest suite of photography apps joins Lumia 930's features and apps list. It includes Nokia Camera, Nokia Storyteller, Nokia Creative Studio and Nokia Refocus. New additions such as Camera Roll for zooming without getting pixilated results, Creative Studio app for post editing of images and Living Images to turn static photos into living memories, join the bandwagon.

The Lumia 630 is a 3G phone with two variants, single-SIM and dual-SIM, whereas the Lumia 635 is the higher model with 4G LTE support, according to the company's official blog.

The technical specifications remain the same for both models.
