Any chance of Tim Tebow playing for the New England Patriots seems like a moot point now.

According to a report, Patriots coach Bill Belichick "hates" Tebow as a football player.

In the time since Tebow cleared waivers on April 30, there were whispers around the league suggesting a possible reunion between Tebow and Josh McDaniels. McDaniels, now the offensive coordinator for the Patriots, was the head coach who drafted Tebow to the Denver Broncos in 2010.

Could McDaniels try to sell Tebow to the Patriots?  It doesn't seem likely to happen.

Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports reports a source saying that Belichick "hates" Tebow as a player. When asked about bringing the free agent in as a change-of-pace quarterback, the source said, "No chance. Plus they wouldn't like the circus that comes with it."

Silver reports another AFC head coach as saying the same thing: "You don't want to put up with the circus."

NFL coaches are weary to bring Tebow into their locker room after witnessing last season's debacle with the New York Jets.  While no one is accusing Tebow of seeking attention, there is no denying the media frenzy that follows him at every turn.

"He seems like a great guy to have on a team, and I'd be tempted to bring him in as our backup," an NFC head coach told Silver on Wednesday. "But it's just not worth dealing with all the stuff that comes with it."
